Karen Pettigrew, RN

 Karen graduated from Rockingham Community College in Wentworth, NC, with an Associate in Applied Science degree in Nursing.  She continued her education at the University of Arkansas, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.  Karen’s career history includes participation in the startup of a pediatric home health program where, through outstanding census growth, she was able to positively impact many young lives by providing healthcare in the home.  She is an asset to WellCare in many ways.  As an American Heart Association BLS Instructor and DFS CNA Instructor, she is able to contribute to the training and continuing education of employees.  As a result of her compassion, experience, and commitment to excellence, she successfully leads the large team of nursing aides, registered nurses, and administrative staff that comprise WellCare Home Care.
